Job Description
AG1 is seeking a Data Analyst to support its B2B and Retail Partnerships teams. The Data Analyst will report to the Sr. Manager, Data Science and Analytics, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze trends, develop reporting solutions, and provide actionable insights to optimize retail and B2B partner performance. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and data-driven analyst who enjoys solving business problems, building reports, and translating complex data into clear insights. The Data Analyst will help shape AG1’s approach to retail and B2B partnerships by supporting data needs across sales, distribution, and partner performance.
What this role involves:
- Analyzing retail and B2B performance data to identify actionable trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Developing SQL queries and data pipelines to aggregate, clean, and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Building and maintaining dashboards in Tableau (or other BI tools) to give stakeholders clear visibility into partner performance, sales, and key metrics.
- Working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, partnerships, and DIT teams, providing data-driven recommendations and real-time reporting.
- Owning tracking of key performance metrics (KPIs) for retail and B2B initiatives as defined by leadership.
- Collaborating with leadership on forecasting and planning by integrating historical performance data with market trends.
- Modeling shopper behavior and analyze promotional activities to measure sales lift and foot traffic impact.
- Regularly communicating findings and recommendations via dashboards, presentations, and written summaries.
- Collaborating with data engineers to maintain robust, reliable data pipelines and implement data quality checks.
- Responding to ad-hoc data requests from internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements for this role:
- 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics, preferably in retail, B2B partnerships, or sales analytics.
- Hands-on experience with syndicated data services (e.g., Circana, NielsenIQ, GfK, Kantar) and specialized platforms (e.g., 84.51°, Walmart Luminate, Crisp) for POS and consumer insights.
- Experience working with POS data and analysis projects related to generating shopper insights, market & category benchmarking and promotional effectiveness.
- Proficient in SQL, with experience querying large datasets in cloud-based environments like Snowflake or AWS.
- Skilled in data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) and Excel/Google Sheets for exploratory analysis and dashboard creation.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for various audiences.
- Comfortable working with structured and unstructured data from diverse sources, with a strong problem-solving mentality.
- Highly curious and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving analytical challenges.
- Experience working with sales or retail analytics, partner performance metrics, or B2B reporting.
- Bonus: Experience with Python or R for advanced analytics and statistical modeling.
