Inventory Specialist-Madigan Army Medical Center

Job Description

GHX is seeking an Inventory Specialist for a temporary, onsite role at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. The Inventory Specialist will manage medical/surgical supplies and 2-Bin Kanban systems, ensuring accurate counting, stocking, and auditing of supplies, pharmaceuticals, implants, instruments, and other hospital assets. The role involves installing and maintaining 2-Bin Kanban project supply chain lines, including assembling and adjusting inventory storage racks. This position requires frequent travel.Responsibilities:

• Accurately capture inventory count data in the HITS program.
• Perform inventory counts and report discrepancies.
• Assemble/disassemble and adjust inventory storage racks.
• Organize and stock inventory shelving.
• Follow procedures and protocols outlined in job orientation and training.
• Communicate with the Team Leader daily to troubleshoot challenges.

Requirements:

• High school education, GED or equivalent.
• Ability to meet hospital work standards (background check, drug test, vaccinations).
• State Issued Driver’s License and clean driving record preferred.
• Must possess a mobile phone to be able to use company apps for timekeeping purposes.
• Ability to use inventory computer programs.
• Professional appearance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Acute attention to detail.
• Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• This position requires frequent travel across the US
