Job Description
Chemaxon is seeking a Security Engineer to join their team in Budapest. The Security Engineer will participate in operating and developing the organization’s information security system, responding to security events and requests, and contributing to the development of the organization’s information security framework. The role involves working closely with various departments and contributing to technology projects.
Role involves:
- Conducting intrusion detection, incident response, and forensic investigations.
- Performing security risk and vulnerability assessments.
- Contributing to the design, implementation, and audit of company-level security policies.
- Addressing application security concerns.
- Monitoring security administration procedures and reviewing information systems for breaches.
- Contributing to digital forensic investigations.
Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a compliance-oriented industry preferred.
- Understanding of NIST CSF, ISO 27001 information security frameworks.
- Scripting knowledge (KQL, Perl, PHP, ASP, PowerShell, or Java).
- Basic understanding of network behavior analysis techniques and tools.
- Knowledge of network foot-printing, port scanning, enumeration techniques, and vulnerabilities.
- Ability to share information security knowledge with technical and non-technical audiences.
