Product Designer, Tempo

Job Description

Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join their Hospitality product team. This role involves collaborating and delivering UX experiences that businesses will find useful and engaging. The ideal candidate will be an experienced UX Designer comfortable in a fast-paced environment, setting UX goals and strategy, and building trust-based relationships across disciplines.

Responsibilities:

• Lead high-level project work from a design perspective.
• Leverage UX expertise and understanding of design systems and UI design.
• Turn nebulous concepts into specific ideas for end-to-end digital product experiences.
• Design holistic systems, flows, and user-friendly interfaces.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the design system.
• Draw insights from research and data to create tangible solutions.
• Build relationships and advocate for the user when collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee UX from conception to launch.
• Be a positive role model and advocate for design within Lightspeed.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of practical, in-house product, UX/UI design experience.
• Applied experience with service design practices.
• Strong aesthetic and conceptual skills.
• Excellent communication and visualization skills.
• Fluency in design systems, prototyping, and user research methodologies.
• Passion for sharing design strategies.
• Self-awareness and empathy for customers and team goals.
• Curiosity and ability to consider product strategy and vision.
• Fluency with product, design, and prototyping tools such as Figma, Google Suite, JIRA.
• English language fluency.
