Engineering Coordinator

Job Description

AB InBev Growth Group is seeking an Engineering Coordinator to lead a team of developers, ensuring technical excellence, scalable architecture, and high-performing systems. The Engineering Coordinator will drive best practices in Java (Spring Boot), microservices, NoSQL, messaging brokers, observability, and automated testing, while also playing a key role in people development and career growth.What this role involves:

• Leading 1:1s, mentoring engineers, setting growth plans, and supporting team development.
• Guiding the design, development, and scaling of backend systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and maintainability.
• Aligning with Software Architects, DevOps, and Product teams to drive technical decisions and remove blockers.
• Overseeing microservices, API design, messaging (RabbitMQ), and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).

Requirements:

• Experience in software engineering leadership and backend development.
• Strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot), microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and messaging systems (RabbitMQ).
• Deep understanding of observability, monitoring, and alerting.
• Experience with automated testing.
• People management skills, with a track record of mentoring and growing engineers.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to align business and technology needs.
• Advanced English for effective collaboration in an international team.
