BDA is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to partner with Merchandise Planners and Replenishment Analysts. This role involves vendor negotiations, processing procurement requirements, auditing bills of material, and scheduling/monitoring shipments. The Purchasing Specialist will work within cross-functional teams, manage inventory, and identify cost reduction opportunities. They will also develop positive vendor relationships and ensure adherence to procurement standards.
  • Conduct vendor negotiations for product acquisition and reorders.
  • Process incoming procurement requirements.
  • Audit bills of material for accuracy.
  • Schedule and monitor shipments.
  • Expedite delivery of materials.
  • Manage BDA inventory.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 0-3 years purchasing or inventory management experience.
  • Strong tactical negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of demand forecasting and supply chain management.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Team player with cross-functional experience.
  • Professional demeanor and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and analytical skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Word, Excel).
