Senior Site Reliability Engineering Manager, Production Engineering

Job Description

Cisco is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineering Manager for its Production Engineering SRE team. This role is based in London and requires at least one day a week in the office, aligning with Cisco's hybrid work approach. The successful candidate will lead a team of skilled engineers focused on enhancing the reliability, performance, and security of the ThousandEyes platform. This role involves collaborating with application development teams and driving operational excellence.What This Role Involves:

• Building and mentoring a high-performing team of Site Reliability Engineers.
• Developing and implementing strategies to improve platform reliability, security, and performance.
• Overseeing the design and implementation of scalable operations tooling.
• Ensuring effective management of incident response and on-call rotations.
• Partnering with application development teams to enhance security posture.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven track record of leading and scaling SRE teams.
• Deep knowledge of site reliability principles.
• Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes and its ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability in SRE, DevOps, or related fields.
• Background in security engineering or DevSecOps.
• Familiarity with CNCF tools such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and ArgoCD.
