BDA is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join their team in Manila, Philippines. The Purchasing Specialist will partner with Merchandise Planners and Replenishment Analysts to conduct vendor negotiations for initial product acquisition and execute all reorders for assigned categories or vendors. The role involves processing procurement requirements, auditing bills of material, initiating procurement activity, scheduling and monitoring shipments, and expediting delivery of materials.

The ideal candidate will be resourceful, self-starting, and assertive, with excellent interpersonal skills and a keen eye for detail. They must be able to thrive in a dynamic environment, manage multiple tasks, and work effectively with minimal supervision. BDA prides itself in their entrepreneurial spirit and ambition. Responsibilities Include:

  • Working within cross-functional teams to ensure goal alignment and customer satisfaction.
  • Managing BDA inventory per set targets for various inventory metrics.
  • Partnering with BDA preferred vendors to identify opportunities to speed up inventory turns.
  • Identifying vendors or SKUs where cost reduction potential exists.
  • Tracking cost savings and providing statistical analysis to management.
  • Managing category OTB to achieve sales, inventory, and profitability targets.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 0-3 years of purchasing or inventory management experience.
  • Strong tactical negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of demand forecasting and supply chain management fundamentals.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Team player with experience working in a cross-functional environment.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Word and Excel.
