Senior Finance Manager, Malta

Job Description

OKX is seeking a Senior Finance Manager in Sliema, Malta. This role involves overseeing accounting, taxation, internal controls, and regulatory reporting. The Senior Finance Manager will prepare financial statements, coordinate with auditors, and contribute to business development through financial forecasts. They will also drive process improvements, adapt cost management systems, and develop finance policies.

• Oversee and manage accounting, taxation, and internal controls.
• Prepare financial statements in line with IFRS/GAAP standards.
• Coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Contribute to business development with financial forecasts.
• Streamline financial processes and implement automation.
• Establish a monthly close process.
• Adapt the group’s cost management system.
• Develop Finance Policies and ICAAP frameworks.
• Navigate regulatory requirements with the MFSA.
• Keep current with financial reporting standards and tax obligations in Malta.
• Assist in setting up the local banking infrastructure.
• Manage day-to-day financial operations.

Requirements:

• CPA Qualified, Bachelor’s degree in finance or similar
• Over 6 years of relevant experience in financial services or the crypto industry
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS mandatory; and tax regulations
• Self-starting problem solver, able to self-identify and execute new tasks as they emerge, and solve problems proactively to full completion without significant direction
• Clear and effective communication skills are critical
• Understanding of the cost management framework and how to connect it with a systematic AP process
• The skillset to work within the demands of a fast-paced startup environment
• Outstanding attention to detail
