Associate General Counsel, LATAM

Job Description

OKX is seeking an Associate General Counsel, LATAM to support its legal operations, primarily in Brazil. This role involves working closely with the Global Legal team and business leaders, with a focus on the Latam region. The candidate will work from the office two days a week and remotely three days a week.Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the business in legal coverage areas for Brazil and Argentina, including product development and regulatory matters.
• Working with licensing and compliance teams to obtain licenses and communicate with regulators.
• Collaborating with product and business development teams to achieve company-wide goals.
• Managing legal requests and advising on legal concepts and risks.

Requirements:

• Law degree from an accredited, top-tier law school and admission to practice law in Brazil.
• Resident of Brazil
• 7+ years of experience at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal team, preferably in financial services or crypto.
• Experience with regulation from the Central Bank of Brazil and Comissão de Valores Mobiliários.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, growth-stage, and multi-cultural environment.
• Ability to navigate a rapidly changing legal landscape and deal with legal ambiguity.
• Self-starter, quick learner who is highly driven, proactive, responsive, and precise.
• Experience working on cross-jurisdictional matters and on a global legal team.
