Job Description
Adyen is seeking a Head of Regulatory Affairs to lead and scale their Regulatory team in Australia and New Zealand. This role is based in Sydney and requires in-person collaboration. The Head of Regulatory Affairs will lead a team of regulatory counsels, supporting Adyen in creating unique business opportunities while making ethical choices.

What this role involves:
  • Developing a thorough understanding of Adyen’s organisation and refining Australia and New Zealand’s regulatory strategy.
  • Leading, mentoring, and managing a diverse team of professionals.
  • Leading regulatory engagements, including managing relationships with regulators and auditors.
  • Providing strategic regulatory advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively identifying key regulatory obligations and integrity risks.
  • Representing the Regulatory function on various workstreams and products.

Requirements:
  • 15+ years’ experience in a regulatory and/or legal function focused on payments, financial services, and/or fintech industry.
  • Knowledge of the Australia/New Zealand payments, financial services, and/or fintech industry.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Strong sense of initiative and independence.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
