Job Description
Adyen is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their team in Chicago. Adyen is the financial technology platform of choice for leading companies like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. In this role, the individual will serve as the first point of contact for Adyen's merchants globally, collaborating with technical and commercial teams to ensure merchants can successfully process payments and expand their businesses. The ideal candidate will be merchant-focused, highly motivated, and thrive on shared success, becoming part of an international team with diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
Role involves:
- Serving as a key source of knowledge on the Adyen platform and APIs.
- Managing the full merchant lifecycle, including integration, expansion, and operational excellence.
- Acting as an internal product advocate, tracking product processes, and providing merchant feedback.
- Advising merchants on implementation practices and addressing specific issues.
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Innovative with strong problem-solving capabilities and adaptability.
- Affinity with internet technologies and knowledge of technical processes (SQL, HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Java, Scripting).
- Self-driven, flexible, and able to maintain high productivity with minimal supervision.
- Experience dealing with ambiguity and making quick, informed decisions under pressure.
- STEM degree preferred.
