Job Description
SmartBear is seeking a Junior Backend Engineer to join their team in Wrocław. The candidate will work on improving the Zephyr product and adding capabilities for thousands of users. They will collaborate with engineers and product managers to tackle challenges such as improving component reuse, handling parallelism, and working with Terraform and a fully automated pipeline for continuous integration and deployment.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing, documenting, and implementing new systems.
- Implementing new functionality in close cooperation with the team and users.
- Engaging in peer design and code reviews.
- Maintaining test coverage.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of Java development experience.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and writing maintainable code.
- Knowledge of design patterns and best practices.
- Experience in modern version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of software testing using different approaches or tools such as BDD, TDD, unit testing, integration testing and performance testing.
- English on at least B2 level.
