Job Description
BitGo is seeking a Senior Mobile Software Engineer with expertise in React Native to join their team in Palo Alto. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and building advanced applications for iOS and Android platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring application performance and quality. BitGo is the leading infrastructure provider of digital asset solutions, delivering custody, wallets, staking, trading, financing, and settlement services from regulated cold storage.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build advanced applications for iOS and Android using React Native.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
- Provide mentorship to peers through code reviews and education.
Requirements:
- At least 6 years of experience in mobile application development using React Native.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and related technologies (ES6, TypeScript).
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
- Knowledge of UI/UX standards and mobile design principles.
- Experience with SQL databases like MySQL or Postgres.
- Experience with RESTful API design.
- Experience with unit and functional testing and debugging.
- Experience in Git/GitHub and branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or another technical discipline from a top university.
- Understanding of and strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
- Great at algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
