Senior Software Engineer - Onboarding

Job Description

BitGo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Onboarding team. This role is based full-time onsite at their Palo Alto office. The Senior Software Engineer will help BitGo build an API-first platform for businesses and developers to launch crypto products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and robust APIs, libraries, and services.Responsibilities include:

• Designing and building scalable, well-abstracted, and robust APIs, libraries, and services
• Owning functionality and scalability features from inception to deployment
• Exposing and documenting functionality to the UI, third-party developers, and internal tooling
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identifying and correcting bottlenecks and fixing bugs
• Participating in code reviews and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement
• Providing mentorship to peers through code reviews and education on best practices

Requirements:

• At least 6 years of proven experience in back-end and server-side development
• Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• Strong experience with RESTful API design and microservices
• Experience with unit and functional testing and debugging
• Experience in Git/GitHub, CI tools, and code review tools
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• Understanding of and strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain
