Software Engineer - Mobile (React Native)

Job Description

BitGo, a leading infrastructure provider of digital asset solutions, is seeking a Mobile Software Engineer to join their team. This role is based full-time onsite in their San Francisco office.The Mobile Software Engineer will be responsible for building cross-platform mobile applications using React Native to enhance the BitGo experience for its customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile application development and a passion for digital assets.Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced applications for iOS and Android platforms using React Native.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand and refine product requirements.
• Provide mentorship to your peers in the broader engineering team through code reviews and education on best practices.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of proven experience in mobile application development using React Native
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and related technologies (ES6, TypeScript)
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
• Knowledge of UI/UX standards and mobile design principles
• Experience with SQL databases like MySQL or Postgres
• Confident with RESTful API design
• Great with unit and functional testing and debugging
• Experience in Git/GitHub and branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or another technical discipline from a top university
• Understanding of and strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain
• Great at algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
