Software Engineer - Mobile (React Native)

Job Description

BitGo is seeking a Mobile Software Engineer to join their team. BitGo is the leading infrastructure provider of digital asset solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in React Native and a passion for building cross-platform mobile applications. This role is full-time onsite at their Palo Alto office.BitGo is looking for someone to:

• Design and build advanced applications for iOS and Android using React Native.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
• Provide mentorship to peers through code reviews and education.

Requirements include:

• 4+ years of mobile application development experience using React Native.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and related technologies (ES6, TypeScript).
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Knowledge of UI/UX standards and mobile design principles.
• Experience with SQL databases like MySQL or Postgres.
• Experience with RESTful API design.
• Experience with unit and functional testing and debugging.
• Experience in Git/GitHub and branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or another technical discipline.
• Understanding of and strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
• Great at algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
