DEPT®, a global digital agency, is seeking a Pre-Sales Commerce Consultant to join their team in Melbourne. This role is crucial for shaping and selling high-performing digital commerce solutions, primarily focused on Shopify Plus, while also understanding modern commerce trends.He/She will be at the intersection of pre-sales, strategy, and solution architecture, supporting new business opportunities and strategic accounts. The ideal candidate will own the commerce architecture for pitches and early-stage projects, ensuring a smooth handover to delivery teams.
Role involves: - Leading commerce architecture in pre-sales efforts.
- Understanding client needs and designing fit-for-purpose commerce solutions.
- Developing technical vision documents and high-level solution architectures.
- Participating in discovery phases and leading technical workshops.
- Acting as a commerce thought leader in client conversations.
- Transitioning smoothly into delivery, supporting estimation and planning.
- Maintaining awareness of the Shopify roadmap and ecosystem.
- Representing DEPT® in industry discussions.
Requirements: - 5+ years in digital commerce consulting or architecture, with Shopify Plus experience.
- Proven track record in shaping and winning ecommerce projects.
- Strong grasp of modern commerce landscape (headless, composable, MACH).
- Ability to translate business goals into technical solutions.
- Experience in discovery, estimation, and early-stage solutioning.
- Comfortable leading workshops and writing proposal content.
- Good understanding of the broader commerce tech stack.
