Portfolio Accounts Lead

Job Description

Takealot.com is seeking a Portfolio Accounts Lead to join their team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving the Group’s Client Portfolio Target by driving performance within a sales team, ensuring adherence to sales processes, and identifying areas for improvement.

Responsibilities include:

• Driving performance within a sales team to deliver against sales targets.
• Ensuring the sales team follows sales and service processes.
• Identifying shortfalls in the sales process and helping improve efficiency.
• Tracking key productivity metrics and managing the team against key outcomes.
• Developing strategies for acquiring new advertising customers.
• Managing and supporting a team of Sales Specialists.
• Coaching the advertising sales team to improve their sales skills.
• Setting monthly targets for the sales team.
• Ensuring a solid sales pipeline is in place.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Building presentations and delivering sales pitches.
• Recruiting and onboarding new Sales Specialists.
• Performance Management of Sales Specialists.
• Driving the adoption and usage of Takealot's self-service advertising platform.
• Developing promotional material and content.
• Collecting feedback from suppliers about the advertising platform.
• Improving NPS scoring, retention, and account growth metrics.
• Serving as a thought leader.

Requirements include:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Marketing, or Digital Communications.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Client Services.
• Minimum of 2 years managing a Sales Team.
• Experience in establishing sales management processes.
• Fluent in English language (both verbal and written).
• Strong presentation, people management, negotiating, and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Commercially astute with an understanding of business value drivers.
• Organized with the ability to prioritize.
• Solutions-oriented with a can-do attitude.
