Director, Platform Management & Observability

Job Description

Graphcore is seeking a Director for Platform Management & Observability. In this role, the Director will lead a team of engineers focused on building and managing scalable management solutions for AI infrastructure. The Director will collaborate with software, cloud, and customer-facing teams to create proof-of-concepts and integrations with third-party tooling. The role involves managing the operation of an internal management & observability service for engineering teams.Responsibilities include:

• Managing a team contributing to all phases of product development.
• Delivering and managing an internal management & observability service.
• Fostering evaluations of new technologies and innovation.
• Prioritizing team objectives and identifying process improvements.
• Ensuring timely delivery of team deliverables and championing quality.
• Establishing strategic plans and objectives with senior management.
• Mentoring and guiding engineers and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements include:

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience with over 10 years of managing engineering teams.
• Comfortable working on complex issues and multitasking in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in the use of Jira and Confluence for project management.
