Job Description
SingleStore is seeking a Cloud Database Support Engineer to provide technical support to its enterprise customers. This role is more engineering-focused than typical technical support, requiring the candidate to delve into database internals, investigate Linux configurations, and diagnose SQL query behavior. The Support Engineer will learn about customer's businesses and systems, improve their SingleStore and database operational knowledge, and collaborate with various departments.

Role involves:
  • Providing email and live technical support to enterprise customers.
  • Identifying and reproducing product issues, performing QA, and submitting bug reports.
  • Collaborating with software developers, sales engineers, and technical account managers.
  • Streamlining and improving Support and Engineering processes and tools.
  • Ensuring customers have a positive support experience.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of advanced customer-facing technical support experience.
  • Experience with MySQL or MySQL-like database and SQL Query Optimization.
  • Solid sysadmin/QA/Testing skill set.
  • Experience with a scripting or coding language.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and AWS/GCP.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
