Senior Financial Analyst

Highnote, founded in 2020 by leaders from Braintree, PayPal, and Lending Club, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. Highnote is an embedded finance company that provides digital-first organizations with the flexibility to issue and process payment cards, embed virtual and physical card payments, and integrate ledger and wallet functionalities.

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting strategic decision-making through financial modeling, data analysis, and business communication. The ideal candidate will have experience in the payment industry, specifically acquiring or issuing.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze key financial metrics, trends, and variances.
• Assess acquiring/issuing financial performance, pricing models, and cost structures.
• Develop and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and scenario analysis.
• Identify and source relevant data, clean and structure datasets.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, Sales and Marketing and Product teams.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory impacts, and competitor benchmarks.
• Support strategic initiatives, project evaluations, and investment assessments.

Requirements:

• 10+ years in financial analysis, with experience in payment acquiring or issuing.
• Financial modeling expertise (3-statement models, sensitivity/scenario analysis).
• Advanced Excel skills (financial functions, pivot tables, lookups, Power Query/Macro, and SQL).
• Strong PowerPoint skills for executive-ready presentations.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Google Data Studio, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience with accounting platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
• Experience working in FinTech, Payment Processors, Acquirers, or Issuers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CFA a plus).
