Job Description
SoundCloud is seeking a Staff Accountant - General Ledger to join their finance team in New York. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate processing of accounting transactions and supporting broader GL functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn and grow in a dynamic finance environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries
- Assist with fixed asset accounting
- Support accounts payable functions
- Perform account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Assist with data entry in Oracle Fusion ERP
- Support the accounting team with ad-hoc projects
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-2 years of accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
