Impinj, a leading RAIN RFID provider, is seeking a Senior Information Systems Engineer to join their collaborative IT team. This role is based on a hybrid work arrangement at their Fairview office in Seattle.Impinj is looking for someone with a wide array of skills and experience across multiple technology disciplines to deliver business value.
What This Role Involves: - Designing, implementing, and maintaining server, network, and storage systems.
- Overseeing the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of IT infrastructure.
- Leading infrastructure projects from conception through implementation.
- Developing and implementing strategic plans for infrastructure upgrades and enhancements.
- Providing technical leadership and mentorship to other IT team members.
- Ensuring adherence to security protocols, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Documenting systems architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Continuously monitoring system performance and implementing improvements.
What Impinj Requires: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, IT infrastructure, or related roles.
- Proficiency in managing Windows and/or Linux servers, virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with network infrastructure components.
- Strong understanding of storage solutions, backup technologies, and disaster recovery methodologies.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) preferred.
