Job Description
Valon is seeking a Default Analyst to join their Default Asset Management department. This role is crucial in overseeing daily operations and ensuring efficiency across critical processes related to mortgage loans in default. The Default Analyst will be a proactive problem-solver, navigating complex challenges and contributing to homeowner transparency and financial literacy.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and respond to default-related communications.
  • Oversee daily property inspections and property preservation tasks.
  • Coordinate with external vendors.
  • Track loans impacted by disasters.
  • Manage and maintain Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) plans.
  • Analyze complex default-related issues and develop solutions.
  • Adapt to evolving priorities by taking on additional duties.

Ideal Background:
  • 3+ years of Mortgage Default Servicing experience required.
  • Experience with FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA loans.
  • Strong independent judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA servicing processes and standards.
  • Proven ability to adapt and collaborate.
  • Availability for and active participation in regular meetings.
