Huntress is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to play a crucial role in shaping and executing its data strategy. The successful candidate will architect and lead the development of high-impact data solutions, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that empower data-driven decision-making across the business. This role focuses on building and scaling a robust data ecosystem to support a rapidly evolving, data-centric organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
  • Architecting and driving the development of scalable data platforms and pipelines.
  • Leading the technical direction for data architecture, modeling, and transformation.
  • Championing data integrity and governance.
  • Driving the evaluation and implementation of cutting-edge data technologies.
  • Spearheading data and tool migration initiatives.
  • Establishing and enforcing standards for data documentation and testing.
  • Mentoring and guiding other engineers on data engineering best practices.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of full-stack data practitioner experience.
  • Proven track record designing and optimizing production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Deep expertise with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks.
  • Strong experience developing, scaling, and administering enterprise dbt implementations.
  • Advanced Python and SQL proficiency.
  • Experience operationalizing ML/AI models.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
