Job Description

Capco Poland is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Data Engineer to join their team. The Data Engineer will work on engaging projects with some of the largest banks in the world, on projects that will transform the financial services industry. The role is based in Poland, with a preference for Krakow and a hybrid work model requiring 1-2 days per month in the office.

Role Involves:

  • Designing, implementing, and managing scalable data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform services.
  • Building and optimizing data workflows using SQL, NoSQL databases, and APIs.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements.
  • Writing efficient and maintainable code in Python for data processing and integration tasks.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data pipelines, databases, and cloud services.
  • Ensuring data quality, reliability, and security throughout the data pipeline lifecycle.
  • Contributing to the design of new systems and maintaining or upgrading existing data infrastructure.
  • Contributing to security designs with advanced knowledge of key security technologies.
  • Supporting internal Capco capabilities by sharing insights and experiences.

Requirements:

  • Min. 3-4 years of experience in data engineering
  • Experience in banking environment is highly appreciated
  • Experience or knowledge with Google Cloud Platform (preffered) or any other cloud would be great
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming for data engineering tasks.
  • Proven experience working with SQL
  • Solid understanding of building and maintaining data pipelines using APIs.
  • Knowledge of data pipeline orchestration and optimization techniques.
  • Experience working with large-scale data sets and cloud-based data storage systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication in English (werbal and written)
  • Min. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related topic
