Axon is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join its Commercial Controllership team. This role involves partnering with Sales Operations to ensure the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue figures. The Revenue Accountant will work in a collaborative environment that values agility and creative thinking.Responsibilities:
Review and summarize customer arrangements for proper revenue recognition.
Prepare and book journal entries for appropriate revenue and cost treatments.
Identify Multiple-Element Arrangements and perform revenue allocations.
Interact with the Sales team for pre- and post-sales support on revenue recognition.
Perform monthly revenue-related tasks and analysis.
Ensure the integrity of key processes and internal controls.
Support internal and external audit activities, including SOX Compliance.
Assist with special projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Financial Accounting.
CPA designation or ability to qualify, preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of accounting and analysis experience, revenue experience a plus.
Experience with ASC 606 compliance guidelines.
Recent public accounting experience or revenue experience with a publicly-traded company highly desirable.
Knowledge of accounting for Multiple-Element Arrangements.
Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
Superb attention to detail and strong planning and organization skills.
