Job Description
Axon is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join their Commercial Controllership team. This role involves partnering with Sales Operations to ensure accurate revenue reporting and contributing to a dynamic environment that values agility and creative thinking. The Revenue Accountant will report to the Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and summarizing customer arrangements for proper revenue recognition.
- Preparing and booking journal entries for appropriate revenue and cost treatments.
- Identifying Multiple-Element Arrangements and performing revenue allocations.
- Interacting with the Sales team for pre- and post-sales support on revenue recognition.
- Performing monthly revenue-related tasks and analysis, including reconciliations.
- Ensuring the integrity of key processes and recommending efficiency improvements.
- Supporting internal and external audit activities, including SOX Compliance.
- Assisting with special projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Financial Accounting.
- CPA designation or ability to qualify preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting and analysis experience, revenue experience a plus.
- Knowledge of ASC 606 compliance guidelines.
- Public accounting or revenue experience with a publicly-traded company desirable.
- Knowledge of accounting for Multiple-Element Arrangements.
- Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team setting.
