Revenue Accountant, Commercial Controllership

Job Description

Axon is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join their Commercial Controllership team. This role involves partnering with Sales Operations to ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue reporting. The Revenue Accountant will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to a dynamic team focused on agility and creative problem-solving.Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and summarizing customer arrangements for proper revenue recognition.
• Preparing and booking journal entries for appropriate revenue and cost treatments.
• Identifying Multiple-Element Arrangements and performing revenue allocations.
• Interacting with the Sales team for pre- and post-sales support on revenue recognition.
• Performing monthly revenue-related tasks and analysis, including reconciliations.
• Ensuring the integrity of key processes and recommending improvements.
• Supporting internal and external audit activities, including SOX Compliance.
• Assisting with special projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Financial Accounting.
• CPA designation or ability to qualify preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting and analysis experience, revenue experience a plus.
• Knowledge of ASC 606 compliance guidelines.
• Public accounting or revenue experience with a publicly-traded company desirable.
• Knowledge of accounting for Multiple-Element Arrangements.
• Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
