Job Description
Axon is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join its Commercial Controllership team. This role is based in Boston, Massachusetts, and offers a hybrid work arrangement. The Revenue Accountant will collaborate with Sales Operations to ensure the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue figures. The ideal candidate will be passionate, technically skilled, and possess strong problem-solving abilities.Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and summarizing customer arrangements for proper revenue recognition.
- Preparing and booking journal entries for appropriate revenue and cost treatments.
- Identifying Multiple-Element Arrangements and performing revenue allocations.
- Interacting with the Sales team for pre- and post-sales support.
- Performing monthly revenue-related tasks and analysis.
- Ensuring the integrity of key processes and recommending improvements.
- Supporting internal and external audit activities, including SOX Compliance.
- Assisting with special projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Financial Accounting.
- CPA designation (or ability to qualify) preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting and analysis experience, revenue experience a plus.
- Knowledge of ASC 606 compliance guidelines.
- Public accounting or revenue experience with a publicly-traded company desirable.
- Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, planning, and organization skills.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
