Sr. Staff Engineer, SoC/IP Validation Lead

Job Description

Tenstorrent is seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer, SoC/IP Validation Lead to join their team. This role is crucial for validating the performance and functionality of Tenstorrent's silicon, ensuring the delivery of exceptional AI compute solutions. The position is based in either Toronto, Canada, or Santa Clara, California, offering a hybrid work environment.

Role involves:
• Collaborating with validation leads to develop and execute test plans for IPs and SoC integration.
• Performing functional, integration, and performance validation using simulation, emulation, and silicon testing.
• Developing and maintaining test cases and automation scripts, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Debugging issues using industry-standard tools and working with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
• Documenting test results, tracking issues, and providing regular validation reports.
• Ensuring validation aligns with product requirements and contributing feedback to design and architecture teams.
• Supporting software and firmware teams to validate drivers and software components.
• Maintaining and improving validation infrastructure.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related field).
• 3+ years of experience in SoC/IP validation, embedded systems, or a similar technical area.
• Strong hands-on experience in SoC/IP validation.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and shell scripting.
• Experience with pre-silicon and post-silicon validation.
• Hands-on experience using debugging tools like JTAG and protocol analyzers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
