Job Description
Appian is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure the high quality and timely delivery of its software to customers. The Quality Engineer will champion understanding changes from the customer perspective and ensuring quality is an integral part of the team decision process. They will strive to understand complex system interactions and dependencies that can cause quality issues and ensures engineers account for them in their design and testing. The Quality Engineer will also analyze mistakes and helps ensure they do not recur.
Responsibilities:
- Manually test and troubleshoot new features across web and mobile platforms.
- Write automated test code using tools like Python and Selenium.
- Support existing features by performing regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Perform analysis, research, and troubleshooting of software defects.
- Build, maintain, and improve test artifacts.
- Work with other scrum team members to define and review Acceptance Criteria.
- Ensure complete and timely reporting of bugs and test results.
- Participate in release management activities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in product testing and quality assurance.
- Experience with hotfix verification, regression and exploratory testing.
- Ability to handle and resolve customer incidents related to product quality.
- Good working experience/ knowledge in using JIRA, Kubernetes, GIT.
- Experience working in Appian platform.
- B.S. degree in an Engineering field or demonstrated aptitude for technology
- 3+ years of relevant experience
