Job Description
Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, is seeking a Database Administrator to manage Azure SQL Databases. This role is based in Pune, Maharashtra, India. The Database Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the stable, secure, and efficient operation of database systems.
Responsibilities:
- Performs software upgrades and new software installation.
- Analyzes and diagnoses problems reported to the help desk.
- Implements, monitors, and maintains SQL data replication and high availability.
- Implements and reviews data access and security measures.
- Provides ad-hoc support to users, troubleshooting and resolving database problems.
- Creates complex SQL queries.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience working with cloud database platforms such as Azure SQL Database (Preferred).
- Familiarity with cloud-native tools for monitoring, scaling, and backup (Preferred).
- Exposure to infrastructure as code concepts or tools (Preferred).
