Director, Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure and Operations

Job Description

Lantern is seeking a Director of Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure and Operations to lead its Azure-based infrastructure. The director will be responsible for the design, deployment, and operations of the global cloud platform, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance. This role involves leading a team of cloud engineers and architects, fostering operational excellence, and delivering highly available infrastructure for healthcare products and services. The Director will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions that enable innovation and agility at scale.Role involves:

• Leading the strategy and operations of the Azure-based cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess security requirements.
• Championing DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) best practices.
• Ensuring high availability and performance of critical platforms.
• Partnering with InfoSec and Compliance teams to meet regulatory obligations.
• Implementing robust observability, monitoring, and alerting systems.
• Driving cost optimization and scalability strategies.
• Collaborating with product, engineering, and client services teams.
• Staying ahead of Azure service advancements and healthcare cloud trends.
• Leading and growing a high-performing team of cloud infrastructure engineers.
• Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for system reliability and team productivity.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of IT infrastructure experience.
• 6+ years in cloud architecture design and operations.
• 4+ years in a technical leadership or people management role.
• Hands-on experience managing complex Azure environments at scale.
• Deep understanding of DevOps principles and tools.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling.
• Solid understanding and experience with observability stacks.
• Experience supporting enterprise-grade platforms with SLAs and disaster recovery.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare industry requirements – HIPAA, HITRUST.
• Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of identity and access management best practices.
• Experience with hybrid cloud architecture.
