Data Engineer Team Lead

Job Description

Nexxen is seeking a Data Engineer Team Lead to lead the Amplification team in Tel Aviv. This team is responsible for ML-driven look-alike models that expand audience reach and sharpen campaign targeting. The team ingests and processes approximately 2 million Kafka messages per second, owning the pipelines and storage layers that power one of Nexxen's core systems. This role involves leading and mentoring the Amplification team, taking ownership of end-to-end feature development, contributing to building and designing innovative big data solutions, driving high-level projects, managing the team roadmap, collaborating with stakeholders, and researching core technologies.What this role involves:

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in leading an engineering team.
• 6+ years of experience as a developer, tech lead, or architect.
• 4+ years of experience in Python, Java, Scala, Go.
• Strong system architecture knowledge.
• Experience in building high-volume and scalable applications.
• Proficiency with cluster technologies, distributed systems, or streaming applications.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Working knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and rollout plans.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Proactive team player.
