Job Description
GitLab is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to champion its core DevOps workflows. This role involves collaborating with marketing, product management, engineering, and sales teams to expand the GitLab platform's market presence. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will be a subject matter expert, delving into technology, market trends, and customer value within their product area.
Role involves:
- Developing compelling messaging and differentiation to position GitLab as the most comprehensive, intelligent DevSecOps platform.
- Crafting persona-specific messaging for key target audiences.
- Building compelling product pitches and thought leadership narratives.
- Partnering with field and digital marketing teams to build impactful demand gen campaigns and revenue plays.
- Creating and delivering sales enablement materials, playbooks, FAQs, and objection-handling guides.
- Serving as the voice of the customer, understanding their pain points and aligning them with the GitLab value proposition.
- Educating industry analysts on GitLab's capabilities and differentiation.
- Conducting research on customer pain points, market trends and competitive alternatives.
- Owning and driving the launch plan for upcoming core DevOps feature releases and product launches.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of product marketing or go-to-market experience, particularly in roles focused on developer products or technology solutions.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- In-depth understanding of developers' needs and preferences.
- Experience in software, technology, or financial services industries.
