Finance Manager, Space Systems

Job Description

Rocket Lab is seeking a Finance Manager to join their Space Systems Finance team in Long Beach, CA. This role involves being a business partner to the global space systems segment, providing financial results, strategic analysis, and recommendations to drive informed business decisions. The Finance Manager will work with the satellite manufacturing and components teams, supporting financial reporting, business cases, and cost models.Responsibilities:

• Become a strategic partner to the space systems segment.
• Support Rocket Lab's space systems component businesses with financial cadences.
• Develop and maintain weekly and monthly financial reporting and KPIs.
• Lead various business studies and ad hoc analyses, including project ROI analysis.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (12+ years total).
• In-depth experience with ERP, financial systems, and modeling.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience implementing value add to the financial business process.
• Willingness to travel if necessary.

Nice to have:

• Prior experience in aerospace, with knowledge of the space industry.
• Experience in LN, OneStream, Adaptive, Oracle.
• Excellent communication skills and cross-functional business partner experience.
