Junior Software Development Engineer in Test

Job Description

DRW, a diversified trading firm, is seeking a Junior Software Development Engineer in Test to provide critical support for its core proprietary trading systems. The successful candidate will partner with the business and software developers to develop test plans and test cases for various trading platforms used globally by trading and research teams.

The Junior SDET will be responsible for setting up and maintaining testing environments, developing automated regression tests using Python, troubleshooting issues, and providing feedback on system functionality. They will also work with the operations team to communicate changes and help resolve problems in production systems.

Role Involves:

• Setting up and maintaining testing environments.
• Developing automated regression tests using Python.

Requirements:

• Strong programming skills.
• Ability to test applications independently.
• Strong analytical skills and detail orientation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with automated test frameworks.
• Experience with Python.
• 1+ years of experience with databases (MSSQL or Postgres).
• 1+ year of experience on Linux.
• Experience in testing trading systems (a plus).
