Anthropic is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead its API engineering team. This role involves leading a team focused on productizing cutting-edge model capabilities and shipping world-class API features. The Engineering Manager will partner with research teams to bring frontier capabilities to developers through the API and drive engineering excellence in API design, performance, and reliability for high-scale production systems. They will also create clarity for the team and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, build cross-functional processes for shipping products, and take an inclusive approach to hiring and developing top technical talent.Role involves:

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as an engineering manager
• 3+ years leading teams building developer-facing products
• Strong technical background in distributed systems, developer facing APIs, and backend engineering
• Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional partners to ship product
• Experience recruiting and scaling engineering teams in high-growth environments
• Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder management and technical decision-making
• Demonstrated success in building teams that deliver consistently to external users
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
