Job Description

Blacklane is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join their team and drive data-driven initiatives. In this role, the analyst will transform complex datasets into actionable insights that inform business decisions. The Senior Data Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, develop data visualizations, and ensure data integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to track key metrics.
  • Own part of our data transformation layer where we apply data modeling techniques (via dbt) to transform raw data into analytics-friendly data assets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements.
  • Conduct advanced statistical analyses and predictive modeling to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through rigorous validation and quality checks.
  • Develop domain expertise in a set of business domains (e.g. Product, Marketing, Operations or Sales) to become a valuable partner to our business stakeholders
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Experience in data modeling using DBT
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and predictive modeling is a plus.
