Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

Chemaxon, a cheminformatics software company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Budapest. The company helps early-stage drug discovery and chemistry research for over 25 years. This role involves bringing chemical intelligence into databases, working with technologies like Oracle, PostgreSQL, Amazon RDS, and Snowflake.

The Senior Software Engineer will design systems using object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms, applying SOLID principles, TDD, and design patterns. They will also be involved in ideation, concept creation, and providing technical support to clients.

Role Involves:

• Working with Java on various projects
• Designing systems using object-oriented programming
• Applying SOLID principles, TDD, and design patterns
• Participating in ideation and concept creation
• Providing technical support to clients

Requirements:

• BSc or higher degree in Computer Sciences or related field
• Strong Java knowledge
• SQL knowledge (Oracle and/or PostgreSQL)
• Willingness to work with a variety of technologies
• Good general programming background
• Good command of English
