Product Engineer II

Job Description

Garner Health is seeking a Product Engineer II to join their team and contribute to revolutionizing healthcare. The Product Engineer II will work closely with product and design teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment. This is a fully remote position.Role involves:

• Designing, building, and launching new features.
• Improving the overall quality of the Garner app.
• Collaborating across disciplines to understand users and iterate on new ideas.
• Protecting user privacy and security through secure coding and design practices.
• Supporting the Garner app in production.
• Owning and evolving core member account microservices on the backend.

Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience delivering full-stack software.
• Expertise in TypeScript (preferred) or modern JavaScript.
• Familiarity with React, NodeJS, Docker, and a major cloud provider.
• Experience with one or more database systems, especially PostgreSQL.
• Experience implementing modern app analytics such as Segment and MixPanel.
• Experience with email and push notification tools like Iterable and Firebase.
• Experience working in a team using Agile methodologies.
• A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success.
• Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment.
• A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system.
• Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America.
