Job Description
Garner Health is seeking a Staff Product Engineer to join their team and help develop the core systems powering client onboarding and reporting. This is a fully remote position where the engineer will collaborate with a talented product and design team, stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, and contribute to a fast-paced, innovative environment. The ideal candidate should be able to deliver across the tech stack and be eager to learn and apply new techniques and technologies.

What this role involves:
  • Designing and building extensible systems that can grow with the business needs
  • Collaborating across disciplines to understand our domain and iterate on new ideas
  • Leading technical strategy and decision-making
  • Supporting the Garner app in production
  • Protecting our users’ privacy and security through secure coding practices

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of hands-on work delivering full-stack software
  • Expertise in TypeScript (preferred) or modern JavaScript
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate design rationale and concepts
  • Excellent understanding of SQL and data modeling
  • Familiarity with React, NodeJS, Docker, and a major cloud provider
  • Familiarity with data ecosystems - DBT, Snowflake, Python
  • Experience with one or more database systems, especially PostgreSQL or ElasticSearch
  • Experience working in a team using Agile methodologies and fluency with the Agile toolkit
  • Experience mentoring team members and acting as a technical multiplier
  • A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
  • Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment
  • A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the United States of America as Garner does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time
