Job Description
Heartflow is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team in San Francisco, CA, to focus on reporting and visualization applications. The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing web-based applications for medical visualization and reporting, crafting intuitive experiences for clinicians, and ensuring the quality and reliability of the features implemented. Heartflow is a medical technology company advancing the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease.
    Role involves:
  • Developing web based applications geared towards medical visualization and reporting
  • Crafting intuitive experiences for clinicians to interact with HeartFlow Analysis
  • Writing tests and documentation for the features implemented
  • Debugging production issues
  • Proactively raising issues and suggesting improvements
  • Suggesting improvements to engineering practices and processes
  • Helping teammates grow through mentorship and collaboration
  • Supporting a large-scale system development effort
  • Being a critical thinker to solve problems efficiently
  • Building strong relationships within the team and cross functionally
  • Communicating efficiently and effectively with other teams
  • Contributing to planning, estimation and requirements management
    Requirements:
  • Experience with web based UI frameworks, such as Vue.js
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Typescript
  • Experience with use of architectural patterns (e.g MVC, MVVM etc.)
  • Familiarity and experience with modern CICD pipelines
  • Comfortable helping refine requirements via iterative prototyping and development
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructures (Amazon Web Services or equivalent)
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related domain
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience in a software company
  • Experience shipping and maintaining commercial mobile and web applications
