Corporate Governance Counsel

Job Description

Adyen is seeking a Corporate Governance Counsel to join their global Corporate Legal team. Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. The Corporate Counsel will support Adyen’s global Corporate Governance strategy and drive execution in North America. This role involves providing strategic advice on corporate law and governance, managing global projects and entities, and drafting resolutions and meeting materials.

The Corporate Legal team is centered in Amsterdam and the United States. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Adyen's business and contribute to its further growth.

What this role involves:

• Advising on corporate law and governance matters.
• Preparing, organizing, and attending local executive committee meetings.
• Drafting and reviewing resolutions, meeting minutes, and other corporate documents.
• Driving strategic governance projects.
• Supporting the global team in their execution of global corporate governance matters.
• Staying informed of new legislative proposals and other legal and compliance developments.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of post-qualification legal experience.
• Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and managing corporate legal documents.
• Familiarity with corporate housekeeping and governance frameworks.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
• Organized, meticulous, and proactive.
• Ability to make decisions quickly and work autonomously.
• Strong team player who builds effective relationships.
• Availability to work from our New York office and travel to other offices periodically.
