Job Description
AXS is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. This role is revenue-focused and involves assisting with financial planning and budget processes, analyzing Profit & Loss, developing financial models, assisting with the monthly forecast, and performing analysis as needed. The Senior Financial Analyst will also provide guidance and assist with the monthly close.

What will this role involve?
  • Conducting complex financial analysis to identify trends and recommendations.
  • Assisting business leaders in developing annual budgets and creating monthly forecasts.
  • Supporting department leads to strategize and oversee their Profit and Loss (P&L) activities.
  • Analyzing historical data and incorporating industry trends to predict future revenues and expenses.
  • Evaluating data to identify financial trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement.
  • Reviewing and analyzing comprehensive financial reports for management.
  • Assisting the Vice President, FP&A in offering financial insights and analysis.
  • Preparing and providing variance explanations and analysis for monthly management P&L review meetings.
  • Collaborating with the Accounting team to ensure a precise and accurate monthly close.
  • Acting as a resource for departments on transactional inquiries and financial/budget questions.
  • Updating and publishing presentations for Financial Review/Budget meetings.
  • Ensuring financial compliance of policy and procedures.

What are the requirements?
  • 4-6 years of related work experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and/or accounting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field (Accounting or Finance).
  • Experience with Planning solutions, Oracle (JD Edwards), and/or Hubble.
  • Experience with financial systems and ability to work with large amounts of data.
  • Working knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, financial modeling, and accounting principles.
  • Advanced Excel, Modeling, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
