Job Description
Octagon is seeking an Event Executive to support the execution of global hosted experiences for a hospitality and travel client. The Event Executive will be responsible for supporting on-site execution and collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners. This role involves planning and implementing events, communicating with clients and vendors, and managing projects.
  • Act as day-to-day contact for key clients
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, vendors, venue operators, and partners
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of planning and implementing events
  • Deliver unique, custom event solutions to key program collaborators
  • Maintain and seek creative ways to enhance partner relationships
  • Manage numerous projects simultaneously
  • Own finance paperwork and documentation
  • Develop post event wrap-up emails and decks to clients
  • Attend events while serving as a main point of contact
  • Assist in maintaining documents like status reports, inventory tracking, and meeting notes
  • Support with expense and budget management
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of experience within an agency or events field
  • A go-getter with a “no job is too big or too small” mentality
  • Comfortable working both behind the scenes and directly with guests
  • Willing to adapt to a fast-paced work environment with a coachable attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • A self-starter with the ability to take initiative, solve problems, and handle new challenges
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel domestically and work on weekends or holidays as needed
  • A valid driver's license is required
