Allworth Financial, a leading independent investment financial advisory firm, is seeking a VP of Accounting to oversee its accounting, financial reporting, billing, and payroll departments. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial records, reports, and statements. This is a hybrid position based in Addison, TX, reporting to the CFO.Allworth Financial is a high-growth, private equity-backed firm committed to client well-being and education. Responsibilities: - Provide technical and operational leadership across accounting functions.
- Manage a team of 15 associates, including hiring, training, and development.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting.
- Develop and implement accounting policies compliant with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Oversee the annual external audit, collaborating with EY and PWC.
- Lead M&A diligence and integration from an accounting perspective.
- Manage billing processes for clients and advisor variable compensation.
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration.
- Implement and oversee financial systems, processes, and controls.
Requirements: - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar qualification.
- Series 27 or 28 preferred.
- 10+ years of managerial experience in accounting, preferably in public and private equity environments.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and strong leadership skills.
- Experience in Wealth Management, Asset Management, Insurance, or Real Estate Investment is preferred.
- Regular travel to Sacramento, CA required (2 days per month).
