The Control Plane team at ClickHouse is seeking a QA Engineer to develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper integration of test automation within the CI/CD pipeline.

What this role involves:

• Developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications.
• Designing, implementing, and executing end-to-end test automation frameworks.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure proper integration of test automation within the CI/CD pipeline.
• Identifying and documenting bugs, ensuring that all issues are addressed in a timely manner.
• Analyzing test results, troubleshoot failures, and work with development teams to ensure quality.
• Developing test strategies and plans for both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Continuously optimizing test automation for maximum efficiency and coverage.
• Staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in automation testing.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in automation testing with a focus on web applications.
• Strong experience with Playwright or similar testing frameworks (e.g. Vitest, Jest, Cypress, Selenium).
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, or similar) and integrating automated tests into the build process.
• Good understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript) and APIs (REST).
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with SQL for basic querying and data validation, including SELECT statements, filtering, and simple joins.
